This home is a 1200 sq. ft. partial timber frame on 10 acres about 20 minutes north of Duluth, MN. This will be a home for a retired couple moving to the area. Although smaller than many new homes being built, we and the homeowners have worked out a house plan that we feel makes sense. An open floor plan connects kitchen to living and dining areas. A screen porch off of the kitchen and living room will provide connection to the outdoors and give a sense of greater space. Two bedrooms, two baths and a loft area that will provide extra sleeping space make this home capable of handling guests.A laundry and mudroom will create a second entrance close to the kitchen.

There is a two car detached garage across the driveway which will provide extra storage. Eventually, a black smithing shop will be created in the back corner of the garage where there is a roll up door and an exterior concrete apron.
